Forging Your New Future

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If you're like me you are probably are getting a powerful thirst for action to go with all that sourdough bread we've all been eating (well, I have at least). I don't have definitive answers, but I have some good questions which are just as important to forge your new future. Action is everything. Luck has nothing to do with it.Should I continue to market my service or product?There's an old saying, "In good times you should advertise. In bad times you must advertise." There’s a lot of research to back this up. But mostly this is obvious. There is less noise right now and we are able to stay present in the heads and hearts of our ideal clients. Lead with a message of empathy and authority. Shift more dollars to content and digital engagement. Get your website updated with a call to action that collects emails so you can remain in touch with new clients. Create downloads of information your clients need to help them through this time (lists, how-tos, resources, etc).Sometimes I just shut down. How do I get unstuck?The best way to combat analysis paralyses is agility and presence of mind. Here are a few good questions that can help shake loose some of that mortar that is keeping you stuck.

  • Do I want to emerge as a market leader from this crisis?
  • What does the look like?
  • Have I taken time to reach out to my clients with offers to help them find their own silver lining opportunities from this situation?
  • What is the long-term value of staying connected that I may gain when others have gone silent?

While you mull all that over, here are

At the end of the day, ask yourself -- did I do everything I could today to move myself even 1 percent closer to my goal? If not, what can I do tomorrow to do that, remembering to be gentle on myself. These are hard times, not every day will be easy. Choose grace over perfection.At the beginning of the day ask yourself -- am I ready? If the answer is no, start anyway! You might not realize it, but you are ready.
